Then join us in this unique part-time opportunity with the Diocese of Baker in Central/Eastern Oregon. This tight-knit group is looking for an integral, collaborative, dynamic team player who can bring the necessary skill set to provide creativity, organization, and a passion for the critical Pro-Life mission.
Qualifications: This role provides a unique opportunity for an employee who is able to multitask while promoting the Pro-Life mission (from conception to natural death), collaborating with Parish volunteers, brokering Pro-Life service providers, and effectively communicating to leadership. Working in alignment with the Bishop, the Evangelization/Catechesis, and Communication diocesan teams, this person will have both creative communication and administrative responsibilities. Since the Diocese of Baker is a rural, mission diocese, all members of the staff wear many hats.
As a part of the Evangelization/Catechesis team, the responsibilities include (yet are not limited to): Build productive diocesan-wide relationships serving the Pro-Life mission. Maintaining a diocesan-wide Pro-Life Calendar, contact lists, and services will be essential while using Microsoft suite (WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT), Google suite (GMAIL, CALENDAR, DOCS, SHEETS), and ZOOM. Having a learning attitude where one can find the balance of becoming self-sufficient and seeking the experience from seasoned staff.
Under the direction of the Communication manager, the communication responsibilities include (yet are not limited to): Taking photographs at Pro-Life events, retreats and celebrations to help tell a predefined story. Writing articles using the photographs to communicate the importance of this critical mission.
